Plain English, because these should be readable. Using Audioframe means you accept what is written here.
1. What Audioframe is
Audioframe is a free web application that turns audio and video files into animated visualizer videos. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no subscription and no upload step — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what does and does not leave your device.
The service is currently in beta. Features change, and occasionally break.
2. Your files stay yours
Audio, video and images you open in Audioframe are processed locally by your own browser. They are never transmitted to us, and we could not access them if we wanted to.
You own what you make. We claim no rights over anything you create with Audioframe, and there is no licence to grant us because your work never reaches us. Exported videos carry no watermark and may be used commercially without attribution or payment.
You are responsible for holding the rights to the material you use. If you do not have the right to use a piece of music, footage or artwork, Audioframe does not give you one.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Audioframe to produce or distribute:
- Material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark
- Content that is illegal where you or your audience are
- Content that harasses, defames or impersonates a person or organisation
- Sexual content involving minors, or material that sexualises them in any way
Because processing happens on your machine, we have no technical ability to monitor or block any of this. That places the responsibility entirely on you.
Do not attempt to disrupt the service for other people — for example by overloading the hosting, or by redistributing a modified copy presented as the official Audioframe.
4. Availability
Audioframe is provided free and without any guarantee of uptime. It may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time and without notice. Features present today may be removed tomorrow.
Because everything runs locally, exports you have already saved are unaffected by any of that — files on your machine stay on your machine.
5. No warranty
Audioframe is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Browser capabilities vary: some combinations of browser, operating system and hardware will not support every export format, and results can differ between them.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Audioframe — including lost work, lost data, lost revenue, or a project that failed to export in time.
Keep your own copies of anything that matters. An export that exists only inside a browser tab is not a backup.
7. Third-party services
Audioframe is delivered through Vercel and Cloudflare, loads typefaces from Google Fonts, and may fetch an encoder component from unpkg the first time you export an MP4. Where you consent to it, analytics is collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Advertising may be shown on the marketing pages.
Each of those operates under its own terms and privacy policy. The Privacy Policy lists them and explains what each one receives.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Audioframe after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
Audioframe is operated from India, and these terms are governed by Indian law. Nothing here removes consumer protections you are entitled to under the law of the country you live in.
